Angkor Wat(s)

Hired a guy from the hotel here to drive me around in his tuk tuk for the day ($13). We left at around 10 and arrived back here (early) at 4:00. I had enough site seeing for the day and told him we didn't need to do the last thing which was to see the sun set at a nearby mountain. I explain to him that I had seen many sunsets before. He went on to tell me there would likely be 500 -1000 people there. Enough said.

I think we saw 5 major temples altogether with Angkor Wat being the most impressive. Unfortunately, as you can see in the pictures, it was being worked on. Reminded me of when I went to the Parthenon and there was scaffolding everywhere.

The temples were amazing and it was pretty cool to finally be standing in front of Angkor Wat after wanting to come here for years. The amount of effort put into constructing these places is unfathomable. I really wish i could figure out this blog site....
